Today I have switched my C 516 booking to Clean Cruising, and Bree was also most helpful to me.
The numbers booked is rapidly increasing.
For those who have already booked or are close to deciding you may have noticed that all bookings so far are for inside cabins - no windows. If you really would prefer a bit of daylight it may be worth switching to an obstructed view outside cabin AND chose one BETWEEN the life boats. For example cabins 606, 605,607 and 608 on E deck are all only $40 more pp. They are 2 decks lower than those of us who have already booked. But you may have to contact Bree quickly if you wish to change.
If you want to get the best view of the ships layout, facilities, and location of cabins it is best to go to the Princess website (princess.com.au), choose Plan a Cruise, set Departure Port to Melbourne and click on the Apr 2019 b0x in the middle, then View Results, Cruise Details, Select A Room. Now choose Cabin type and no of passengers and keep selecting your options and then choose "I'll Choose My Own" for Location. then click on the ship location and look at the cabins that are available.
But If you decide to change or book MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT BREE AT CLEANCRUISING
Travel Insurance - good question.
If you get ill on board it will cost you a bomb - in a worst case scenario you may be helicoptered of the ship!
And your Medibank (or alternative Australian insurance) will not cover it.
So my answer would be yes - but I would get the cheapest policy possible and not include the last day in the coverage (if it helps reduce the premium). The reason being that the ship will probably dock in Sydney at about 4am so you are not liekly to need onboard treatment.
I actually never bother when doing cruises in Aus waters as if you can survive a day or two you will get an ambulance at next port. Your call as I always use a multi trip policy as a regular trabveller
I am not sure if Princess are running a shuttle from Melbourne Airport to Station Pier Melbourne. And, if they are, is it available for passengers who haven't booked their cruise or flight using Princess to book rather than Clean Cruising.
Last Transformal was extra special in that we had such a number of supportive family members in attendance.
I hope this continues with next years Cruise to Nowhere.
I was fortunate three years ago in that my eldest daughter attended the Seahorse Victoria 40th anniversary ball in 2015. (please see pic.)
I have asked if she would like accompany us on the cruise and at this stage she is pretty keen.
I am posting this to help encourage others who may be thinking of inviting family along.

Since we will be sailing in the Tasman Sea
Should we call it
or perhaps Maiden Voyage ?
as it will be the first event of it's kind organised in TGR.
Am so looking forward to this
Is there someone clever enough to start a facebook group for the cruise?
It maybe nice to have a place to post pictures and ideas as the date gets closer.
And to help co-ordinate connections and logistics.
What do you girls think?
